Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative, informational support and excellent customer service to the department, clients, and corporate office visitors. This position will be located at Goodwill’s Lifsey location in the front reception office.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Assist in answering multi-line phone system delivering excellent customer service for internal and external customers of Goodwill as needed.
  • Create documents and postings for the department. Assist with clerical support including projects related to the department.
  • Manage the supplies of the department; at times including marketing materials and office supplies using Goodwill’s PO system.
  • Assist with maintenance of the department databases which may include client information and center information.
  • Provide support to the department as needed. Utilize Caseworthy software for running reports for the department.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Regular, reliable attendance as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy.
  • Attend Career Solutions Team Meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications


Required Skills

Education

  • High School Degree or GED Equivalent is required.

Experience

  • One year of office experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in customer service required.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Caseworthy software required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must possess excellent telephone skills including clear pronunciation and diction and a friendly tone.
  • Able to deal with all situations in a calm and positive manner.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a highly active and energized team oriented work environment.
  • Able to proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and have the ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees.
  • Strong time-management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License

  • Ability to use Microsoft Access proficiently is preferred.
