We are looking for a results-driven Production Supervisor to join Advanced-Online, a Follett company.

 

Supervises operations for one or more departments. Coordinates workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity to meet objectives for assigned areas. Hires, trains, develops, supports, and coaches operations personnel.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising and monitoring workflow for assigned areas to meet company objectives and service requirements. Communicates with other departments and functional groups ensuring the accurate and timely processing of work.
  • Communicates company and warehouse objectives, policies, programs, and schedules ensuring they are understood by everyone needing such information to successfully carry out his or her responsibilities.
  • Works with employees and Human Resources to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, governmental laws, and regulations.
  • Ensures staffing levels are adjusted to meet business needs through the movement and training of existing staff and by hiring and training additional staff as required.
  • Acts as a positive leader who coaches, counsels, and develops employees, encouraging open communication and giving regular feedback. Administers disciplinary actions when required.
  • Responsible for minimizing costs and expenses (i.e., labor, freight, supplies).
  • Seeks to develop and make recommendations for process and departmental improvements.
  • Ensures a safe and effective working environment.
  • Directly supervises department employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience; supervisory experience within a manufacturing production environment required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills, including an understanding of retail math.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with other departments.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk and use hands and fingers; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
